Gooseberry Falls and Lake Superior
Our first stop heading to the North Shore was a rooster in Two Harbors. Ten years ago, we started a tradition. I was looking through some pictures and found a picture of Roger and his sister sitting in front of this very rooster. I thought that it would be fun if we were able to have our children be in front of the same rooster when they were kids. It did happen....the first time when Ethan was 22 months old, then Blake at 15 months old, and then Emma at ten months old, and finally Caleb at 20 months old. My pictures are pre-digital so I can't display them, but it is fun to go back and see how much the children have grown!

The next stop was at Two Harbors Pier. The children love playing at the rocky beach and walking down the pier.

Our last stop was at Gooseberry Falls. It was very nice to see the river flowing with water. Two years ago, the river was barely a trickle, and we were disappointed that we were not able to see the waterfalls. The falls were great this year!!

Caleb was mesmerized by all the water he saw. He loves water; however, I am not sure if he liked it this much and how loud it was.

The children loved playing by the falls and crossing the rivers. They each picked out their favorite spot on the river.
