Memory Game

A friend of mine had this on her blog and I thought it would be fun...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog.

Now, I know I have a few blog stalkers out there that never leave comments...so here's your chance. Your memory can be about me or about Roger.

Let the commenting begin...

I remember when Heather and I came to Utah for WC and we slept in the basement of Sue and Paul's house where you guys where staying. Blake was a tiny baby then and we had those yummy tacos! We slept on an air mattress and left very early in the morning. You were glad to have us even if we didn't stay that long. What a great friend you are and what a fun memory this is :)

I was SOOOO hoping you would do this!

I have so many memories of the time we spent together...and it's dumb, but the one that really stands out to me is how on paydays we would always go to McDonald's and order a cheeseburger meal...and just ENJOY!

And of course, Roger...well, I have so say that Preference stands out in my mind...you guys had broken up and you were on a date with someone else, and we were having dinner when Roger crashed the party...oh the drama!!!!

Roger was a little slow to come around...but when he finally did it was totally worth it!

The ring Roger, the ring!!

Miss you.

As I was looking around the little Branch I had just moved into...I saw you. So normal and pretty. Just what I needed in a room full of crazy (I hadn't seen Heather yet, but she might fit into the crazy catagory depending on the day.LOL). I was so happy to see you. I knew everything would be OK.

I'll never forget seeing you walk into church with Paul and Sue and thinking how beautiful your hair was. The most memorable? Probably when we came over to your house for dinner (in the apartment in Orem) to eat Taco Soup. The kids were eating at the dinner table and we were eating in the living room with your newly arrived couches. When Roger came in you told him he had to sit on the floor. You then explained that it didn't matter what you were eating, if it was in the living room Roger would always spill his food. With only minutes passing your tale came true...Roger dumped his soup all over himself. Haha!

We sure miss being able to do all the great things we were able to do together those few years ago. Those were great years!

Oh, another one is when we were all up in Park City for our anniversaries, (your 10th and our 7th? that doesn't seem right) and we were able to eat dinner all together and then go back and chit chat for a while in your hotel "suite". That was fun!

Oh Char Char Char, where to begin....so many memories. Of course I can write about the time you pinned me to the floor and poured perfume all over me, or the incident where you stuffed sweet pickles into my mouth!! But a good memory I remember with you is actually an odd memory. It was when we were in California (and no it's not about the time of your nose picking while I was trying to have a serious conversation)and we were being punished for something. We had to clean the walls, remember?? It was the comment I made when mom was scolding us and I muttered it loud enough for you to hear but all mom heard was mumbling, remember?? In case mom reads this we'll keep what I said to ourselves (phone is ringing, probably mom calling to ask questions). I just remember you and I trying to focus on our work and containing our giggles because we knew mom was watching. It was so hard not to bellow out in laughter!! I don't know why, but I love this memory between us!!

Let's see, where to begin........
Well let's start with Roger, I remember after our hours, and hours(literally) of trick-or-treating, we would have mountains of candy. Roger of course would almost immediatly start his self serving "trading", or should I say tricking his little sister out of the best candy. We actually have a term for that in our house, the kids will come to me and say "MOM! He is trying to pull a ""Roger"" on me". No kidding it's true. I did love to hang out with you and your friends--even though it annoyed you to death! We had some good times though.......your such a great brother, you know I love you.

Let's see Char, I don't remeber very many of my fun memories being without you. You have been such a great sister-in-law and best friend to me. I love our pedicure/manicure girls time out. I loved the time we all lived together, it was nice to always have someone there to talk to. I love just getting together and letting the kids play--they love each other so much! I think my very favorite memory was the day I met you, because that is the day I gained a sister..........Ok, I know too sappy, second favorite, when Roger threw up all over you at the state fair...now that was funny, not for you of course:) You guys are great, we love you.

One of my favorite memories is when we went down to teach at the Youth YW thing in S. MN. We had so much fun staying up way too late and talking. But my favorite part is when I had a really bad headache and went to lay down. I had to miss a fun class where they were making beaded bracelets and anklets. I was sad to miss out on the fun, but you made me a beautiful anklet in my favorite colors. I still have it.
And of course my next favorite memory is of you calling out of the blue after several years of only Christmas card/Birth announcemnet communication. You called to ask if we still lived here and that you might be moving to our town. And a week later you were here. And of course we know why. Very cool.
I also have wonderful memories of birthday dinners, game nights, carving pumpkins together, New Years Eve, the murder mystery party, gno's and of you being a good friend. Sorry, I'm almost as sappy as Sue ;)
And to Lori.....WHATEVER!!!!

I remember hanging out with you at a YSA conference in Northern Minnesota--staying up way too late and laughing a lot...and me going home a little sad that you hadn't moved to MN any sooner!

Oh my goodness I don't know which one to use.
I would say sleeping under your hospital bed...
or you staying at the hospital with me to see Britton be born only to leave and he came a 1/2 hour later!!

This makes me miss you!

Char, remember your senior year when you stayed at my house? We made no-bake cookies and ate them warm and watched "Somewhere in Time." I still look back on that every time I make no-bakes with my girls.
