Another member of the family....

no, it's not a dog or a cat....

no, I'm not pregnant.....
but it's loud.....

it's big....

and it's shiny....

It's a tuba.....

When we moved down here closer to Rogers work, to our dismay, we discovered their was no orchestra program around the area. Ethan has been playing the violin for two years and wanted to continue playing it. After some searching, I finally found a community ed program that will offer orchestra in October. When we signed Ethan up for school, we were asked if he wanted to be in choir or band. He decided to give band another try. He tried to play the clarinet last year, but did not enjoy playing it. When he got home yesterday from band, he was excited to let me know that he was going to play the tuba!!
THIS instrument is HUGE!! He can barely carry it. It's almost as big as he is!
He would pick a tuba, and he is having so much fun with it. This is a good sign. He is only committed for three months and if it doesn't work for him he can go back to playing the quiet sweet strings of the violin.
I wonder which instrument he will choose?

Hehe! good luck finding a nice place to keep that at home! Cami had played the cello for the last few years and we have yet to find a great place to keep it.

Ethan, the kids think it is soo cool! Way to try new things :) Char, I did not know you could add 4 pictures twice, I will have to try that! Also, this is south fork park, you go past bridal veil to vivian park (where the train trcks are) and you keep going on that road about another mile or so. I am sure you have been there, if not, shame on you! And get back here so we can take you :)
