Blake - Month of May activities....

Blake had a very busy  month of May!
Along with his birthday, here are some things Blake accomplished for the month!
Blake earned his Life Rank back in February but didn't get his patch until May.  He along with the other five young men all received their Life Rank!
Turning 14 is big at our church..........it means that he can start going to Stake Dances!
Yes, dancing with girls.....yes, touching them......yes, talking to them!
His goal (or my goal) was for him to ask at least one girl to dance.  He said that a girl ended up asking him and he felt that counted too!
Maybe next time!!?!?
He does look handsome standing there with his best bud!
Blake performed his last concert performance for band.  He has decided not to continue to play band in high school since he does not want to do Marching Band.  He sees how busy Ethan is and does not want that for himself.  He said that he has too many other things that he is interested in to have Marching Band take over his life! Secretly, his mom and dad are pleased......only one more year of Marching Band left for this family!
Roger and the boys did their annual Man Hike in May this year.  They went to Durango, Colorado.   More details and pictures to follow up on another blog!
Here is Blake graduating the 8th grade in Middle School.  It's just a huge award ceremony and he crosses over!  He did get to wear his NJHS cords that he worked really hard receiving!

Again with his best buds......
and another picture of his buddies and Blake getting ready for the 8th grade graduation dance!
I was told no dancing was happening and that they planned on playing games that were offered there!
They have a great time together and enjoy a lot of the same things!
We hope that they will be able to see each other in high school and maybe have some classes together!
Blake is excited and nervous to go to high school next year.
He plans to run for Cross Country, work hard in the engineer program, and finish his eagle project to get his Eagle in the next year!
We are so proud of Blake and love you!
