BOA Grand Nationals.....and Minnesota....
UGH!!!!
that is how I feel being so completely behind on my blog!
But I will take the motto from an article I just read, "it's never too early, it's never too late!
So here goes.....
Ethan had an opportunity to attend BOA Grand Nationals again!
He was super excited to attend once more, his last one!
As it got closer for him to go, he asked us if we were going.
We decided not to go and he seemed sad about it.
We asked him if he wanted us to go, and he said yes, since it was his last time participating.
So of course, we couldn't turn that down!
We started looking for tickets to fly out.
At the same time, we were blessed with a car for Ethan in MN.
It belong to Roger's sister and she said if we could fix it up, then we could use it for Ethan.
It was done at the same time we were heading to Indiana.
So we came up with this crazy idea of flying to MN, picking up the car, driving it to Indianapolis, watch Ethan perform and drive the car back to Texas.
To make it even crazier, we decided to take the younger three kids with us!
We talked with the kids and asked if this was something they wanted to do. Especially since it was going to be their first time flying. They all agreed to enjoy this crazy adventure without any complaints!
The kids did amazing on the flight to MN.
We stopped at the Mayo Clinic to visit Uncle Mark who was sick there.
It was nice to visit with him for a bit and then we started our journey to Indianapolis!
BOA grand nationals was held at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
It was super cool to see Ethan and the marching band perform there!
Afterwards, we stopped and visited with Ethan and letting him know how proud we were of him for doing so well! His marching band came in 7th place in the nation. I asked him how he felt about the experience. He said they did their best, they scored their highest ever in his four years at Round Rock and it was a great way to end his marching band season too! He also asked where was his car?!?!
After watching him perform, we started the long trek home. The little car did amazingly well and the younger three did too.
Now Ethan is the proud owner of a car! Welcome to adulthood and responsibility!
