Kayaking on Lady Bird Lake....

Our next adventure we tried was...

Kayaking!

We have never kayaked and we've always wanted to try.

We've done canoeing and rafting, but this was a first for us!

We found a place down in Austin and quickly learned the techniques of kayaking!

The older boys wanted to be in their own kayaks!

Caleb was nervous, but felt safe with daddy!

What a trooper!

She did awesome paddling along!

Caleb didn't want a paddle, but wanted to help out his dad so I love this picture of him using his hands to help dad along!

We paddled towards downtown and we could hear the music from SXSW!

It was getting ready to storm so we made it back just in time before the rains came!

We were able to kayak for about an hour and we took them out to Congress Bridge!

We could hear the bats once we approached Congress Bridge. 

Blake and Emma were excited that they made it all the way there and back!

We had a lot of fun together and we definitely will do it again.

Some of the family members are talking about trying the Paddleboards next......

hmmmmm....not so sure, the lake smells....not sure I want to take a chance and fall in!
