Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

This weekend we went to the National Air and Space Museum at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
The kids were pretty excited to see all the airplanes, helicopter, space shuttles that couldn't fit in the other Air & Space Museum which brought us to here.
We went much later this time and since it wasn't in Washington DC, it wasn't as crowded either.
Much better to see the exhibits...
...and the space to run around and fly like airplanes!
The children looking at some of their favorite airplanes...
...some older
...and some newer. I read somewhere that this was the actual aircraft they used for Transformers 2 movie for all you fans!! Can anyone guess which one?
The kids entering the space exhibit...

We are so excited to be able to see all the museums, monuments, exhibits that this area has to offer. We are trying to go somewhere once a week before Roger starts work.
This week we will be going to Charlottesville to visit my cousin who's there right now and he will be taking us around the area and visit some places, like the Monticello (Thomas Jefferson home).
We are enjoying this time we have to go exploring!

We love the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum. One time we won a school auction for a guided tour with a retired Air Force pilot and it was AWESOME!
