It's coming.....
It's that time of year again.
Ever since Roger changed his jobs three years ago we have been in this situation three times.
Where are we going?
Is it permanent?
Will we finally have a place to settle?
We have been blessed so far having a job, but we also know that it will end in August.
We haven't heard from SCSU yet if their is to be a tenure-track position so we are still waiting.
We have heard from a couple of places for a job phone interview.
The first interview was in Arlington, VA.
The whole interview lasted 15 mins. when they realized what they posted online wasn't what they wanted in a position. As sad as it was not to move forward with that position, we continued to wait.
Then we heard from a second place for a phone interview......St. George, UT. This one takes place on Friday.
While we are excited for him to have another interview, their are steps that have to be taken before you actually have the job.
The first is the phone interview.
They talk with Roger and ask questions and vice versa.
Next you wait and wait and wait, wondering if you did and said everything right while they decide to call you back for a second interview.
Then if you get the second interview, they fly Roger out and meet with him and he goes through a day long interview.
At this point, you know its getting pretty serious if they flew him out. So praying becomes more increased, studying out the area is elevated, and wondering if we are making the right choice comes to mind.
After all that, you wait and wait and wait.
This could take another month before you hear anything.
Around the end of April or the beginning of May is usually when we hear something and know exactly where we end up.
So in the meantime, we wait and wait and wait.
