Glass Bottom Boat Tour....

One day when the kids had a day off, we decided to go check out this Glass Bottom tour in San Marcos.

We didn't have high expectations and it was pretty cheap to go to....

it was nice to be wrong!

 You sit in the boat and at the bottom is glass so you can see what it looks under the water. Caleb loved every moment of it!

 I think Grandma did too!

As they gave the tour, we learned about this lake that it is spring fed, that is why you can see bubbles on the bottom of the lake and why it's so clear. Many fish live here and at one time this lake was a hotel and swimming hole.  Another time it was an amusement park, so we were able to see relics under the water too.

 By far, my kids favorite thing to see was the spotted gar fish!

 It was a fun experience to go and learn more about the Texas area!  I am still mesmerized how diverse and exciting Texas has to offer!
