Root Canal...
Remember that time last summer when we were in Minnesota and Emma was playing tag in the playground and knocked half her tooth off?
Well, we discovered that her tooth is officially dead now.
Emma had some wires and rubber bands replaced in her braces and started complaining about being in a lot of pain.
We were surprised, considering Emma usually does well when they replace her wires and bands.
We finally took her to the ortho and they couldn't find anything wrong with her braces so they sent her home.
Two days later, our ortho called us and told us when he was putting his daughter to bed, he saw that her tooth was loose. It reminded him of Emma losing half her tooth the summer before. He wondered if maybe something was wrong with that tooth. He recommended us to see an endodontist.
It was confirmed. Her tooth had died and the pain she was experiencing was the bacteria inside her roots. She had to have a root canal. So we went home to decide what was the best plan of action to take.
Emma begged to have the root canal. She's the only person I know that wanted a root canal!!
I think Emma knew once that was taken care of, she would feel a lot better.....and she was right.
They were able to save the bottom part of her tooth and filled the top with filling. She was a great sport about it and her teeth look amazing! No more pain and she is a happy girl again!
