Lake Superior.....

We stayed at a resort up in the mountains in Northern Minnesota!

Beautiful views of Lake Superior.

The kids wanted to try the Alpine Slide first when we got there!

They loved it so much they could have spent the whole day there!!

Afterwards, we decided to do some hiking!

We hiked around Lake Superior and Cascade Falls!

My kids had more fun walking in the clear,cold waters of Lake Superior.

My kids found this spot that you walk onto a rock island formation so they are helping Caleb along the way to get there!

They thought it was cool that the "island" was surrounded by water in the middle of Lake Superior.

Funny story, Ethan was guiding Caleb back to the shore and told him exactly where to go. Caleb didn't listen and fell in the water.  Ethan was frustrated with him, because he could see where the path was and if Caleb only listened to him, he would have made it back to the shore safe and dry.

I told Ethan it must be so frustrating when you can see the path the kids are taking, and knowing something is going to happen to them and if only they listened to you,  would they make it back safely.

Ethan looks at me, smiling, "good point, mom!"

"Great observation, son!!"
